Hello everyone my name is Two root woman. My english name is Justiss Pickens
My mother is Cynthia Young Pine and my father is Shannon Pickens, my maternal grandparents are the late Justin and Noella Young Pine and my paternal grandparents are the late Cecil & Pauline Pickens i am the proud adopted daughter of Marsadie Chief Body and Leland English. I am 16 years old and enrolled at Chinook high school, I’m from Kainai nation and currently living in Lethbridge.

My education is a very important part of my life, and I'm dedicated to staying on top of my assignments and keeping my schoolwork organized. I received an Kimmapi'pitsin award meaning fellowship and Aiyika’kimawa award meaning outstanding effort in early June, it was a true honor. I always strive to be selfless and understand things from others perspectives as well as my own.

As Miss Lead By Example, I aim to show the youth the importance of understanding different points of view, while also acknowledging that it's okay not to have all the answers. Our culture is unique, and something we should all take immense pride in. I plan to promote educational opportunities and cultural awareness to empower the next generation. By sharing my own experiences and creating platforms for open dialogue, I hope to inspire young people to embrace our culture , pursue their education, and support one another in their journeys.
Together, I believe we can foster a community that values understanding, empathy, and cultural pride.
