Miss Lead by Example

The Miss Lead by Example Princess honors the legacy of Kakato’si Kristian Ayoungman of how he lived his life as a mentor, role model and one of First Nations Finest gentlemen; who’s life was taken wrongfully on Highway 817 south of Strathmore. Miss Lead by Example will be an ambassador for the Lead by Example powwow and will represent The Town of Strathmore and Siksika Nation in the integral work that is being done by both councils coming together bringing awareness about the wrongful loss of Kakato’si Kristian Ayoungman, instead of turning to violence both communities took Melodie's words, “We need to work together” seriously and put reconciliation into action. The Miss Lead by Example Princess will bring awareness to the reconciliation acts of how the Town of Strathmore and Siksika Nation are working together to build stronger relationships, understanding First Nations so that we all could move forward together in a good way.
