Message from the Kakato’si Kristian Ayoungman Foundation

The 2025 Lead by Example Powwow was a remarkable gathering that reflected the strength, pride, and spirit of our communities. Welcoming participants and visitors from across North America, the powwow created a vibrant space for cultural celebration, learning, and connection.

With more than 3,000 people attending throughout the event, the powwow brought together individuals from many backgrounds. The strong presence of both Indigenous and non-Indigenous attendees highlighted a shared respect for culture and demonstrated the growing importance of events that create opportunities for understanding and relationship-building.

More than just a successful event, the Lead by Example Powwow strengthened partnerships and inspired new ones. Dancers, vendors, families, and guests contributed to an atmosphere that carried well beyond the powwow grounds, supporting continued collaboration and community impact.

Building on the momentum of 2025, we are already preparing for the 2026 Lead by Example Powwow with the valued support of the Town of Strathmore and Siksika Nation. We invite you to walk alongside us as we continue this important work.
