Wool Yarn, Blackberry Ridge
Schoolhouse Press offers quality yarn from ultra alpaca to lambs wool, bulky to laceweight. Shop our collection of Blackberry Ridge wool.
In the mode of Buy Local, our newest wool is spun from Mid-West fleece and produced by a Mid-West mill. This hand-dyed, 2-ply finger-weight is beautifully soft. Colors are dyed in small batches of 20, so make certain to order plenty for your project. The tam at left is the first item I knitted with sample skeins sent to me by the mill. Knit on 180 sts @ 7 sts to 1, the tam took only 1 oz of each color; I love knitting with this soft wool. Material: 100% Wool Weight: 1 oz. skein Yardage: 110 yds Approx. Gauge: 7 sts to 1 inch Price: $7.80 per skein for colors; $7.00 per skein for naturals. Click here for Meg's free Tam pattern (Shown at left in Fern and Gray 10%, knit by Meg Swansen and in Crimson and Cream, knit by Mimi Skinner).
