Winsor & Newton Clear Gesso is a flexible primer suitable for most non-oily surfaces including paper, canvas, and wood. Artists of all backgrounds use this medium with oils, acrylics, alkyds, and pastels.
This medium is an excellent choice for artists of all skill level or artists background. The primer that is colorless and flexible for all surfaces that are non-oily, including artist s journals and other paper projects. This product is suitable as a primer for surfaces prior to use of acrylics, alkyds, and oils. For those who use oil or chalk pastels, Winsor Newton Clear Gesso provides an excellent tooth for this medium. To provide a color ground, mix Winsor Newton Clear Gesso with acrylic colors. This product will dry in around thirty minutes under normal circumstances. Once dry, artists can paint or collage over it immediately.
