Clean off the nozzle and don't lose track of the tiny cap that comes with it to close that nozzle off. I didn't know I needed this until I got it and now I'll never be without. There are just times you need a helping hand or don't want pins or clips in the way. I bought this for a specific applique project where it was highly recommended and now I know why. The first time I used it I used to to secure the corners of a quilt I was binding to hold the miters I had folded. I was able to stitch through all those layers without a pin in the way and I was hooked!
