DOUBLE BOILER Gorgeous Robin Egg Blue with White Specks – The Townhouse Antiques & Vintage

Featuring a vintage ENAMELWARE DOUBLE BOILER. The double boiler is enameled in a gorgeous robin egg blue with light white specks. The trim on the rims and handles is black. The bottom pot measures about 4 ⅝ high by 4 ⅛” at the mouth. Including the long handle, it is 9 ¾”across.
Featuring a vintage ENAMELWARE DOUBLE BOILER.  The double boiler is enameled in a gorgeous robin egg blue with light white specks.  The trim on the rims and handles is black. The bottom pot measures about 4 ⅝ high by 4 ⅛” at the mouth. Including the long handle, it is 9 ¾”across. The smaller pot holds about 16 ounces and measures approximately 3 ½” tall by 4 ⅛” at the mouth and is 8 ½” wide with its handle. The double boiler is in great vintage condition with minimal chips and rust, primarily on the bottom, on the rims, and near the handles. Please review the photos carefully as they have been taken from several angles. Imagine this wonderful piece as an addition to someone's French country or farmhouse style decorating! Enamel & Granite Ware Enamelware is made from an old process of coating metal with porcelain, which  became popular in the 1800s.  By the late 1870s, a new form of enamel ware was developed, called granite ware.   Graniteware was designed with decorative patterns resembling granite, ranging from mottled, speckled, spatters or swirls. Early granite ware was turquoise blue with white or green. Both enamel and granite ware were used in the production of early kitchen utility ware.
