This beautiful strand of African powder glass beads was made by the people of Krobo Mountain in Ghana, West Africa. Many designs of Krobo beads are patterned to resemble old Venetian fancy trade beads. They are made from bottles and other glass items that are turned into powder, then poured into molds in order to create beads.
