This is a beautiful vintage piece of costume jewelry. It is a Scottish Mizpah shawl clip, a vintage celtic clip with a very large orange colored gem stone mounted with what looks to me four fairies on four flowers, with both there wings acting as the point to which the gem is held in place. The silver tone metal that this anorange amber gem is held on to is engraved with geometric shapes of circles and lines. On the back is marked twice with the words Mizpah with an arrow going through two hearts. A heavy round ring that is hinged, so that it can open and close on the fabric. Neither the metal or the gem has been tested by me. Please examine the photos carefully before deciding on this purchase. This item is used and vintage and should be considered as costume jewelry.
