We made this rack with thick 24 gauge galvanized steel here in the USA. Note: Inexpensive standard furnace filters work best, if you use an expensive allergen filter (e.g. filtrate furnace filter) it will restrict flow and cause inadequate ventilation. No, Actually the cheap standard furnace filters work best, if you use an expensive allergen filter e.g. filtrate furnace filter it will restrict flow and could cause inadequate ventilation. ◄ Does the filter rack require assembly? Yes, it comes as four pieces of steel that must be bolted together. It's only 8 little nuts and bolts so assembly takes about 1 minute. All you will need is a Phillips head screwdriver. ◄ Do I have to change the filter? Yes, periodically filters should be replaced and ducts should be inspected for obstructions. This will ensure proper air flow which will reduce the risk of vapor buildup.
