Traditionally real tortoise shell was used, but since it is now illegal to harvest, resins are used to replicate the look. The important things haven't changed a bit though. Each razor is still cut, shaped, polished and riveted by hand by master craftspeople in Solingen, Germany. This razor is beautifully inlaid with a sterling silver DOVO logo that makes it special.
